TMX Group CEO Named in Institutional Investor’s Tech 40 Ranking

For the sixth consecutive year, Lou Eccleston, CEO of TMX Group, has been named in Institutional Investor's 2017 Tech 40. The annual ranking recognizes the world's "power players in financial technology" for successful and innovative leadership. One of only two members of the Top 40 representing Canadian companies, Mr. Eccleston came in at #28 on this year's list after accomplishing a turnaround and return to profitable growth in 2016. The executives named to the 2017 Tech 40 interpret the broad direction and implications of high-tech advances to provide creative solutions for customer challenges and to capitalize on opportunities for their organizations.

The 2017 Tech 40 ranking was compiled by Institutional Investor editors and staff, with nominations and input from industry participants and experts. Four primary sets of attributes were evaluated: achievements and contributions over the course of a career; scope and complexity of responsibilities; influence and leadership inside and outside the organization; and pure technological innovation.
