It is designed to foster continuous development and alignment with organizational objectives. Our performance assessments encompass: (i) management by objectives where employees and managers collaborate to define goals that align with TMX’s strategic direction; (ii) multidimensional performance appraisal (360-degree feedback) to identify top talent in vice-president and director-level positions; (iii) agile conversations that encourage ongoing conversations between managers and employees. We regularly offer training on our performance assessment program, including goal-setting, mid-year career conversations, individual development plan creation and year-end performance reviews. 2024 Performance FTEs that participated in voluntary L&D programs 815 employees, a 21.46% increase from 2023 Average hours per FTE training and development 21.83 hours, a decrease from 24.6 hours in 2023, partially attributed to effects from acquisition activity. Average amount spent per FTE on training and development $379.14, a decrease from $516.28 in 2023, reflecting our successful efforts to leverage our internal resources Independent Learning • 898 independent learning hours logged in LinkedIn Learning (a 13% increase year-over-year) with a plan to transition to a new platform in 2025, which offers a wider variety of learning resources and improved searchability • 268 learning hours logged in Cloud Guru (a 33% increase year-over-year), a learning and exam preparation platform specializing in cloud computing and related technologies • 737 learning hours logged in LumiQ (a 21% increase year-over-year), a podcast app where conversations with business leaders count as verifiable learning hours for CPAs • 100% of required employees completed compliance training on information security, physical security, our code of conduct, and our respectful workplace policy Leadership Development In 2024, 115 participants that hold supervisory and emerging leader roles attended our LEAD program. This program strengthens the leadership network across the organization and uses experiential learning to help participants develop effective leadership skills. Our Global Leadership Conference brought together 94 leaders to support global strategy alignment, engagement and cross functional collaboration. The event included networking, training, breakout sessions, keynote speakers and panel discussions. We also continue to offer a mentorship program to pair employees with internal mentors across the business to support their career growth and development. Impact In our 2024 annual engagement survey, we observed: (i) a 6.5% year-over-year increase in our score for “My manager provides me with coaching that helps my performance” (overall score of 75% in 2024); and (ii) an increase in the manager effectiveness index, with significant increases (>5%) in understanding how performance is measured, manager responsiveness to questions/concerns, and manager provides coaching that helps performance.
