TSX and TSXV Host Second Annual Diversified Industries Investor Day
Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX), TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) and TMX Equicom – a division of TSX Company Services – yesterday hosted their second annual TSX Diversified Industries Investor Day. Sponsored by Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP and MNP LLP, the event showcased leading public and private companies from the Consumer and Industrial Manufacturing and Services sub-sector on TSX and TSXV across Canada and the United States.
The Diversified Industries sector on TSX and TSXV includes more than 635 public companies with a total market capitalization over $1.5 trillion. About half of the companies that operate in this sector fall into the Consumer and Industrial Manufacturing and Services sub-sector, which is comprised of 316 companies with more than $500 billion in market capitalization. These companies raised more than $5.4 billion in growth capital in 2014 and enjoy a liquid market with more than 11 billion shares traded last year.
This year's TSX Diversified Industries Investor Day welcomed more than 100 attendees. This is a testament to the importance of the Consumer and Industrial Manufacturing and Services sector – not only for public investors, but also the Canadian economy more broadly as it seeks to boost industrial output.
Priya Patil, Head of Business Development, Diversified Industries welcomed TSX- and TSXV-listed companies as well as privately held companies from the sector, representing a broad range of service and product offerings, geographies and stages of development. Here is a list of the companies that presented at the event:
