TMX Information Processor names Peter S. Jarvis, CFA Governance Committee Chair
November 13, 2009 (TORONTO) - The TMX Information Processor, operated by TSX Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter S. Jarvis, CFA as Chair of the TMX Information Processor Governance Committee.
"We are very pleased that Mr. Jarvis has accepted this role," said Eric Sinclair, Senior Vice President, TMX Datalinx. "He brings three decades of financial sector experience and extensive management experience to the Committee."
Mr. Jarvis is the Executive Director of Toronto CFA Society and was formerly Chief Investment Officer and Executive Vice-President at BIMCOR. Previously, he was with OMERS as Vice President, Strategic Investment Research and Investment Risk Management.
The TMX Information Processor provides a central source of consolidated Canadian equity market data. The Governance Committee will be comprised of representatives from marketplaces that contribute data to the TMX Information Processor. Mr. Jarvis is an unbiased third party and, in his role as Chair, he will work with the Committee in a fair and impartial manner to develop an information processor strategy that is transparent, effective and accountable.
